Divide, Conquer and Party

Heading to Dreamforce 2010 from December 6–9 in San Francisco? Here’s my cheat sheet for the 10 essential sessions to visit:

  1. Kickoff with Marc Benioff: The buzz over the kickoff (Tues., Dec. 7 at 9am) hosted by Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff — and special guests — is that the special guests will include HP, announcing a megadeal under to replace up to 40,000 seats of Siebel with Salesforce.com. That — and the ongoing flame war between Larry Ellison and Benioff — should make this essential viewing.
  2. Deploying Salesforce Globally (Tues., Dec. 7 at 3:45pm) offers insights from Salesforce.com professionals who have helped customers roll out the software to global sales teams. In particular, hear from Salesforce.com’s Lori Sarsfield, a former Innoveer employee.
  3. Holistic CRM for Staffing Firms (Tues., Dec. 7 at 5:15pm) details the unique CRM challenges faced by staffing firms as they struggle to provide a unified customer experience.
  4. Stevie Wonder (Tues., Dec. 7 at 8pm) promises to put some sunshine into your life, if not a little call to say I love you.
  5. Account Planning Excellence (Wed., Dec. 8 at 1:45pm) details “how strategy and technology wins top customers.” Considering that 25% of organizations we work with do no account planning, this session is required attendance.
  6. Sales Management Excellence: Be More Than a Control Freak (Wed., Dec. 8 at 3:15pm): Type A personalities, don’t freak out. Because when it comes to excelling at sales management, living and breathing the CRM application is a must.
  7. Bill Clinton’s keynote (Wed., Dec. 8 at 5pm): Anticipation is high for the keynote from the former president, who’s been described as “a one man social network.” (Take that, Facebook.) On the other hand, how many attendees do you think will actually obey the “thou shalt not generate live Twitter, Facebook or blog feeds” mandate?
  8. Innoveer’s cocktail party (Wed., Dec. 8 at 6:30pm): Our parties are events into themselves, with this year’s being no exception. We’re giving away iPads, Kindles and 2-day Sales Cloud or Service Cloud Assessments to some lucky people. Find us at the XYZ Lounge in W Hotel (181 Third Street, San Francisco) — less than a block away from the Moscone Center. In addition, we’ve invited William J. Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States to join us. Accordingly, it’s time to seriously get down and boogie with the best 70s and 80s hits, hand selected to meet Bill’s tastes. Need an invite?
  9. IT Success with Agile Development (Thurs., Dec 9 at 8:30am): At Innoveer, we’re firm believers in agile development methods, and taking a results-focused approach to rapidly planning and implementing CRM projects.
  10. Roundtable with Service Cloud Pros (Thurs., Dec. 9 at 9:45am): The Salesforce.com “next frontier”? None other than your call center. Learn all about service in the cloud.

See you at Dreamforce.
